A comparative study on design of turkish coffee brewing machines for self-service

Abstract: Traditional Turkish coffee brewing method has a history of five hundred years, new gadgets which were the rivals of the ibrik, had been designed to meet the ‘need of speed’, which was the requirement of the era. In this study the history of coffee and the Turkish coffee brewing methods was mentioned. Then three Turkish coffee brewing machines which were chosen from the market was examined according to the level of their customer requirement satisfaction by using (QFD) quality function deployment method. After evaluating the datas obtained from this examination, findings were argued and suggestions were made about which specifications of the products should have been developed in the next generation design of the products.
